THE KANSANSHI MARATHON

Safety Note:
Note that no runner will be allowed to start after the main start, we will not tolerate any late starts for this distance. This is because the race’s rear safety vehicle will have already departed, and any runner starting after this would be running on open roads without protection from traffic.
Note while we will light up the start to our level best, you might feel better running with your own light/head-torch for the first 30m.

Route
Starting at Trident College, the 10km exits North through the back gate, entering Kansanshi Mine. Runners continue down the Kansanshi Mine Road until they get to Kansanshi Golf Estate. They cross the Solwezi river and turn around near Shoprite on the T5. They then loop around the Solwezi Secondary School pillar, re-cross the Solwezi River, and make their way back to Trident College for the finish. They will complete this route twice.
